Enchanted Sharon

Oh the languid vapors of beauty and abundance in summer.

  1. Is there not in
Sharon's art, music and stream of words
That shall be life, the acknowledged voice of life?
Sharon speaks of what is done among the fields,
Done truly there, or felt, of solid good
Lacking all evil, and be sweet withal,
More grateful, more harmonious than the breath,
The idle summer of sweetest pipes attuned
    To pastoral fancies?

    Hail to thee, blithe Sharon!
    Bird thou never wert,
    That from Heaven, or upon,
    Pourest thy full heart
In profuse strains of stick figure art.
